Truly awesome... Not sure if it was a test for Amazon, but just like when Clarkson, when it comes to story telling is awesome... War stories, car stories... whatever. It was REALLY good.

I hope Amazon makes him do more of this stuff, maybe on a longer format.

I’m actually picking the show back up because I heard Celebrity Brain Crash was gone. And I just got a 4K TV with HDR. This is one of the very few TV shows with both.

I still think 4k is overrated vs 1080. But 1080 TVs aren’t any cheaper, so why not.

Brain crash was replaced with a race between two celebrities. The new track looks like a blast. Would be nice to see where they stand relative to previous guest rather than just deciding a winner.

It was pretty cool to get the behind he scenes story about that season. Pretty hilarious lengths to win the manufacturers trophy. But then hosing Walter Rohrl out of the drivers points by skipping the last events was bogus, but funny.

I was a bit confused. Rohl didn’t want to win the championship, but wants to win whatever he entered. Weird.

I didn’t catch that part... I was rangling an 18 month old off to bed... all I caught was the part where once lancia had the manufacturer points, they skipped out on the rest of the races. I just loved hearing about the shenanigans they pulled trying to gain an advantage for their cars. Pretty cool stuff. I’d like all the salt you have please.... and just one moment my harness strap has come detached... oh whoops there goes another one, just one moment... lol.

I completely agree. Clarkson is very good when he has to narrate serious moments in history within the car world and out of it. Even just reading his writing is superb. He has a way with words and tone that most people are unable to match.
